The members of the Evangelical Free Church of Hershey are participating in "GraceWorks" on April 19th, 2008. So, what does that mean? Are these "works of grace" or are you saying that grace does works, or are you saying that grace works in the sense that it's effective? Well, yes! All that and more! We are hoping to perform works of grace (not an oxymoron if you think on it awhile) because in experiencing grace we can't help but perform works that are in keeping with that!
Our vision is to get out into the communities that we live in and display God's love in some very tangible ways and to allow God to work in our hearts to expose them to the needs that are all around us...

God exhibits his grace in many ways. I can't wait to get going on this because I believe we will see God's expressions of grace in many ways. We;ll get to walk (work) alongside many people and learn more of God's grace. Perhaps we'll see ways to live it out; perhaps we'll learn how much more of grace we need. Of course, the greatest grace is forgiveness and restoration through Jesus Christ. I am praying that these grace-pointers on April 19 will help all of us understand God's grace in Jesus better.
It is interesting that Earth Day is close to EFCH's GraceWorks event. We can discover that God is interested in recreating his handiwork in nature as well as people's lives. Maybe we can plant a few trees of life :-)
We had our first leadership meeting for GraceWorks and it went really well!
We will be kicking things off this Sunday (January 20th) at all three services of Hershey Free Church!
