Bus driver...move that bus!
I was watching Extreme Makeover last night and when Ty Pennington (not to be confused with Chad Pennington of NY Jets infamy!) said 'bus driver! move that bus!', it made me think of the joy that there will be when the Lord Jesus returns and renews all things. To see the unbridled joy and relief of the family that was in such desperate need just a week before was so moving!
While I was musing I thought that the 'first coming' of the design team and Ty ('Good morning Hyatt family!) is like Christ's first coming. Hope has dawned! The project isn't done yet and there is some fear about how things are going to work out but hope has dawned!
Welcome to the GraceWorks blog site. What is GraceWorks? well, it's a work in progress...but the short answer is that it is a group of people trying, by God's grace, to live out the gospel of Jesus in ways that display God's love and character to the world. Specifically, we'll be getting together to work on over 40 projects on April 19th, 2008 involving over 500 people in helping others through, roof repair, cleaning, trash pick up, elder care, making curtains, cooking, childcare....I could go on! And I will, below ;-)
